Marimekko and Uniqlo team up on a picnic-ready summer capsule

The Finnish design house has joined forces again with the Japanese retailer on a line-up that we can’t wait to sport come warmer weather

Marimekko and Uniqlo are a match made in heaven, a fact cemented by the popularity of previous collaborations between the brands. Delighting us with another new drop, the labels are launching a limited-edition capsule ideal for the sun-drenched days of spring and the swiftly approaching summer.

Drawing inspiration from an uplifting concept – a joyous picnic shared with loved ones – the line-up fuses Marimekko’s vibrant and beloved prints with Uniqlo’s signature fashion-forward practicality. Featuring six of Marimekko’s iconic patterns, including Melooni (melon) and Ruukku (pot) by Maija Isola, Asema (station) and Lirinä (sound of gurgling water) by Pentti Rinta, Demeter by Katsuji Wakisaka, and Galleria (gallery) by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, each of the chosen prints, brought to life with vivid colours, exudes a breezy summer feel.

Boasting a range of relaxed-fit, airy dresses, T-shirts, skirts and accessories, including pieces for the little ones in the family, the collection is designed to be worn all day long – perfect for frolicking around on a fun day in the sun.

The Marimekko x Uniqlo Summer 2024 capsule launches on the 2nd of May and will be available at Uniqlo stores across Europe and online at uniqlo.com.
