Not to be missed, the upcoming release Börje from Viaplay tells the incredible story of Swedish hockey legend Börje Salming. As we learned from the series' stars Hedda Stiernstedt and Valter Skarsgård for our forthcoming Dec / Jan issue of Vogue Scandinavia, the cast and crew went to great lengths – extreme dieting inclusive – to accurately recreate Salming and the experiences throughout his career and personal life.
Alongside the eerily accurate portrayal of Salming and those around him, Börje also nails another aspect of his young life – the world of the '70s. Whether an ice hockey fan or not, there is something special about stepping into another time and place, just as Borje transports us to this bygone era.
While there's no questioning the fact that '70s style frequently reappears in the trend cycle, there's also something timeless about the fashions from the era. From flared jeans to cropped T-shirts and long shearling-trimmed coats – these are pieces that will also have pride of place in our wardrobes.
So, in anticipation of Börje's '70s fashions set to grace our screens on Sunday, here are some of our favourite looks inspired by the series to shop now:
