Amidst the chaos of Copenhagen Fashion Week, aim’n and Vogue Scandinavia welcomed some of the industry’s busiest women for breathwork, breakfast and a moment of calm

This morning, amidst the organised chaos that is Copenhagen Fashion Week, aim’n and Vogue Scandinavia offered a moment to take a deep breath and reset. In a quiet space at Villa Copenhagen – the very hotel many international fashion players call home for the week – the beloved Swedish sportswear brand welcomed a handful of street style stars, models and editors to slip into some aim’n and enjoy breakfast, breathwork and a light yoga class. Sitting in a wood-panelled room filled with natural light, guests took their place on their mats and recharged their batteries. A welcome calm at the heart of the storm.

Finding a moment to reset through wellness or exercise is at the core of aim’n’s ethos. “We’ve always tried to be a little ray of sunshine and make someone’s day a little better, every day,” says Tekla Acs, who co-founded the brand with Helen Van 10 years ago. With that in mind, the brand started their “daily dose of wellness” initiative, which invites its ever-expanding community to take a daily moment for both their physical and mental health.

For Acs, this means pinpointing “what gives you energy” and “what drains your energy”. “It’s really identifying what makes you happy and what makes you sad and moving towards a more positive way of life,” she says, noting that daily walks and workouts in aim’n’s own office gym are just two ways in which she brings this notion to her everyday life.

During fashion week, this mental and physical reset is crucial. Though there are many moments of joy and expression, it’s also a grind – running from show to show, the constant small talk and socialising, the general rush of it all. “We’re trying to bring some awareness of taking care of yourself, both mentally and physically,” says Acs. “You have to remember to recover.” Guests wore the brand’s shape collection in a soothing clay colourway. The body-hugging tights and tops are as comfortable as a second skin, fitting for both a workout or for dashing around the city (plus, the flattering fit on one’s backside must be seen to be believed). Just ask Jennifer Lopez, who acted as brand ambassador for the collection.

The sense of community was palpable in the room, especially as guests finished their low-impact workout, led by instructor Ida B Olsson and enjoyed a light, healthy breakfast. As Acs puts it, “It’s also about bringing people together, meeting new friends and just being a part of something,” she says. The icing on the cake? Following breakfast, guests were invited for makeup touches, courtesy of Mac, and blow-outs, courtesy of Lernberger Stafsing. As Acs puts it, “We really wanted to make people feel good from the inside and out.”
