She's the breezy and spirited Californian 'valley girl' we know and love. Here, the LA-based talent – and latest Vogue Scandinavia digital cover stars – takes us back to the small Norwegian island of Bø where it all began
“At the end of the day I’m Norwegian and Somali and I grew up in the Valley. Those three things can co-exist all at the same time, because that is just my make-up,” says Alisha Boe in a candid interview for Vogue Scandinavia's latest digital cover. The LA-based acting talent – who is enjoying a thrilling ascent owing to recent career-making roles in 13 Reasons Why and The Buccaneers may be drenched in Californian sun, but the links and roots of her identity are just as much a part of her character today.
Here, Boe takes us back to where it all began for her: to her childhood “obsession” with acting, her early years in Scandinavian, and her ancestral links to the tiny Norwegian island of Bø.
