After a successful first collaboration (that almost sold out in 48 hours), Anouk Yve is back with Malina to craft some of this autumn's most covetable wardrobe staples. From Yve's perennially popular "Scandi knit" to a reinvention of Malina's signature balloon sleeves – this is a drop we definitely want to shop
Last year, impossibly chic Dutch entrepreneur and content creator Anouk Yve created a covetable capsule with Swedish brand Malina that cured our getting-ready anxiety. Now, she is back for another drop, one we're convinced will sell out just as quickly. "I’m beyond grateful to work with Malin and her talented team again," says Yve, "We had such a strong connection last year that I secretly hoped for a new design project."
So when the opportunity appeared, Yve jumped on it. "I immediately started sketching new ideas," she says. For the last collection, the focus lay heavily on outerwear and jackets. "This year, it’s more targeted towards my own lifestyle and the need to transform my everyday staples into powerful evening ensembles," says Yve. "At this stage in my life, I prefer a nice restaurant with a close group of friends, so I need pieces that can cater to that," she says. "It's all about dressing smartly, in every sense of the word."
Yve began her search for inspiration looking at old event photos from fashion parties in New York and Paris. "I looked at the shapes, neutral combinations and fabrics – silks, faux fur, lace – and strong silhouettes," she says. "From there, I created a mood board and asked myself: 'What would I wear during the day? Are my designs versatile enough? Could an evening jacket work for a business lunch, and how would I adjust it to make that happen?' That was my process – a capsule collection of pieces we all feel we’re missing and wish we had."

"I immediately knew I wanted a coat inspired by a photo of Jane Birkin in her 40s," says Yve. She imagined it as the perfect throw-on layer for a striking evening look, but just as effortlessly paired with denim and a cashmere knit. The result is a timeless fur-trimmed camel coat that reads more Downton Abbey than 'Mob Wife'. Her favourite piece in the collection, however, is the lace top. "I wanted a going-out top that was strong, elegant, and delicate," she says. "I love how it [the lace top] peeks out from under the balloon sleeve silk, almost as if it’s part of the blazer itself. I’m obsessed."

How else would Yve wear her capsule? "I love every piece and would wear them all – I definitely need to bring more excitement into my life. Like plan a fancy dinner with friends right away," she says. She plans to wear the satin trousers paired with one of her boat-neck Scandi knits as a "go-to for every day." The statement coat? "Perfect with a navy knit, jeans, and white sneakers on a Sunday – it all just comes together."
When we last spoke, when her first capsule with Malina launched, Yve said that she "feels more at home in Stockholm than the Netherlands." An unsurprising statement considering she previously lived in the Swedish capital with her footballer boyfriend who played for AIK before moving to the Premier League. The couple even had their first child, Teun, in Sweden. "We moved when I was 38 weeks pregnant," recalls Yve. In week 39, Teun was born. "I remember calling the hospital, saying ‘Hello this is Anouk speaking... Listen, I’m new in town but I have to deliver my baby, and I only have my appointment with my new midwife tomorrow… so can I come because … [silence] my water just broke….’"
And now, Yve says, her second collection with Malina is born. "It's a Stockholm love story," she concludes.
