Lockerbie: A Search for Truth is Swedish actor Ardalan Esmaili’s biggest international role to date. Though he’s more in-demand than ever, Esmaili has opted to slow things down after welcoming his first child
Few Swedish actors have been as busy as Ardalan Esmaili over the last few years. Since 2020, he has starred in no less than 15 different productions. With roles in tv-series Snabba Cash and Helikopterrånet, Esmaili has become a familiar face in Scandinavia. Now he takes aim on the international scene with his latest project, docudrama mini-series Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, which landed on SkyShowtime last week. When we met Esmailli just ahead of the series premiere, he was a mix of “excited and scared”. “But I’m really proud of this show and what we’ve done together,” he says.
