1

Fenty Beauty

'You Mist' makeup setting spray

At a glance: This is a setting spray formulated to keep your makeup pristine for hours. It comes with an ultra-fine nozzle that mists the skin without drenching it, aiming to lock in coverage while controlling shine. To use it, simply give the bottle a good shake, hold it an arm’s length away from your face, close your eyes, and mist evenly over your finished look.

My experience: I gravitated towards this spray after countless afternoons spent touching up a melting T-zone, thanks in no small part to wacky winter weather. After a week of daily use, my blush and highlighter remained steadfast from my morning commute through to an after-work catch-up. And the subtle scent was a divine addition to my morning routine.

Ideal for: Those whose foundation has a habit of migrating south by lunchtime. This formula definitely helped me extend the wear time with a semi-matte finish (no chalky skin in sight), but on the other hand, if you if you love a dewy look this might not be fore you.

Burberry

Burberry her - eau de parfum intense

Burberry Her Eau de Parfum Intense bottle in a sleek rectangular design

Via Sephora

At a glance: Burberry's 'Her' eau de parfum intense is a more powerful, multi-layered interpretation of the original Burberry 'Her' fragrance with its berry notes resting on a sultry base of amber and musk. For best results, spritz onto your pulse points — wrists, neck, and behind the ears — and allow the fragrance to unfold throughout the day.

My experience: The original Burberry Her was already a staple in my collection, so I approached this more profound version with high hopes. I wasn’t disappointed. The scent carried a cosy, enveloping warmth that earned me a few “you smell amazing” remarks in the office.

Ideal for: Those who adore fragrances that bloom in cooler climes and appreciate a hint of fruitiness alongside comforting musk. If you’re averse to berry accords or prefer something crisp and citrusy, you might not warm to this deeper, more sumptuous profile.

Sol de Janeiro

Beija flor elasti-body oil

Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil on white background

At a glance: Not only is Sol de Janeiro’s Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil designed to quench thirsty limbs, it also boasts an impact on improved skin elasticity. Formulated with cacay oil and plant-based collagen, it promises a silky finish that quickly absorbs while delivering the brand's signature fresh tropical floral fragrance. For best results, apply after showering, when your skin is slightly damp and primed to drink in every drop of nourishment.

My experience: This oil added much-needed TLC to my winter-ruffled skin. That said, I'd cast it as a supporting player rather than the headline act of my hydration routine. It sinks in more swiftly than most traditional oils, leaving a dry sensation that had me thirsting for a smoother finish—even though I appreciated not having to loiter in the bathroom waiting for it to dry. When paired with Kiehl's squalane body cream (another favorite of the month), the double act left a subtle sheen reminiscent of a real beach holiday.

Ideal for: Adding an extra layer of hydration. While I wouldn't use this body oil on its own in the midst of a Scandinavian winter, the added layer of moisture is the ultimate treat for tired skin. However, if you're sensitive to scented products or loathe a lingering floral note, you might prefer opting for a fragrance-free alternative.

Kiehl's

Ultra Body Mega Moisture squalane cream

Open jar of Kiehl’s Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream displaying rich texture.

At a glance: With a name like Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream, it's no surprise that Kiehl’s latest lotion delivers on its promise. Boosted by squalane and glycerin — ingredients renowned for sealing in moisture — this rich, velvety cream provides deep hydration for the entire body. Its thick yet non-sticky consistency makes it easy to apply on damp skin right after a shower.

My experience: From the first application, it was clear that this cream had replaced my former body care favorites. As a longtime devotee of Kiehl’s iconic face creams, I wasn’t surprised to find the body formula equally addictive and now, nearly a month in, I’m already scraping the bottom of the pot for more of this precious product. After all, it left my skin feeling velvety soft well past the 24-hour mark without ever feeling overly slick.

Ideal for: This cream is ideal if winter weather has left you feeling a bit lizard-like or if your central heating saps every bit of moisture from your limbs. If, however, you favour featherlight lotions or heavily fragranced potions, this might not be the best match for your taste.

Ole Henriksen

Glimmer Pout Preserve Peptide lip treatment

Via Sephora

At a glance: Ole Henriksen once again proves its Danish ingenuity by reinventing the beloved Pout Preserve’s Peptide Lip Treatment in a gleaming new guise. The Glimmer formula features the same nourishing extracts as the original, complemented by a subtle tinted shimmer, while peptides promise a smoother pout. It’s a perfect go-to when your lips feel parched or if you simply want a refined sheen that goes beyond the average tinted balm.

My experience: The formula felt cushiony but not the slightest bit gloopy (just like the original Pout Preserves), and it delivered a modest sheen that helped my lips look perkier during grey mornings. After a few days, my lips seemed softer, and I appreciated that the shimmer was mild enough for daytime wear.

Ideal for: Anyone looking for fuss-free hydration with a gentle wash of colour will appreciate slipping this into their handbag. If, however, you prefer a fully matte finish or a stronger hit of pigment, you might find this Glimmer formula a touch too subtle.

6

Paula's Choice

Pro-collagen peptide plumping moisturiser

Purple tube of Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser on a white background.

At a glance: Peptides are very much part of the beauty zeitgeist this spring, and the new moisturiser from Paula’s Choice follows suit. Dubbed Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser, this gel cream aims to fortify the skin’s natural collagen, supporting a firmer, springier complexion. It relies on peptides, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants to help shield your face from environmental stress. A pea-sized amount, morning and night, is all you need to keep dullness at bay — though do remember to layer SPF over it during the day.

My experience: Considering I’m as dry as a bone and my skin tends to highlight every fine line when winter hits, this moisturiser was like a tall glass of water quickly quenching any sign of thirst. It more than delivered on its promises of pumpled-up radiance, but best of all, the creamy yet lightweight consistency paired perfectly with the many kinds of foundation lurking in my bathroom cupboard.

Ideal for: Someone starting to spot early signs of ageing and want a practical option that fits seamlessly under makeup, it’s worth trying.

7

LH Cosmetics

Artistick in 'Splash'

LH Cosmetics Artistick in Splash, a vivid-pink crayon-style lip and cheek product.

At a glance: LH Cosmetics is known for its colourful multi-use products, and the new Artistick is no exception. A lipstick-meets-crayon that doubles as a cheek tint, its satin finish comes in five shades (our favourite being Splash, a Valentine's Day friendly vivid pink, perfect for enlivening a dull day). To apply, glide it directly on your lips or dab onto your cheeks and blend with fingertips – the warmth of your skin will help the product meld.

My experience: I’m always on the hunt for products that save space in my makeup bag, and this multitasking stick ticks the box. The colour payoff is punchy enough to wake up my face on early Monday mornings, yet it doesn’t veer into clown-like territory when dappled onto my cheeks. It also glided smoothly over lips — even when they were a touch chapped — without highlighting imperfections.

Ideal for: Anyone who wants an on-the-go product that instantly brightens a complexion. If you’re firmly loyal to toned-down nudes, 'Splash' could be more exuberant than you prefer – but have a browse through the other shades for four more muted alternatives.

8

Caia Cosmetics

Romantique Mascara

Via Caia Cosmetics

At a glance: Whenever Caia Cosmetics launches a new mascara, I find myself fixating on the bristles of the brush. After all, Caia is known for innovating the category – the Vanz Va Va Voom miniature wand that grips every lash and its shape-shifting Twist Up brush, for example. The new Romantique Mascara continues that tradition, featuring a dual-edged design — both brush and comb — that helps wiggle product from roots to tips. Plus, it's billed as smudge-resistant, which is a relief for those of us who brave dreary drizzle more often than we'd like.

My experience: This may sound like a humble brag, but as someone blessed with extra rows of eyelashes, finding a mascara that doesn't leave me looking like Twiggy is a rarity. I especially appreciated the double-duty of Romantique's comb-brush combo, which delivered clump-free, separated lashes that lasted long into the night.

Ideal for: If you fancy a low-key, separated lash look, this mascara is right up your alley. That said, its subtle effect may leave those seeking dramatic lashes wanting more.

9

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Lip velvet

At a glance: Anastasia Beverly Hills' latest liquid lipstick joins the throngs of new-gen mattes with a velvety finish that nourishes instead of drying out. Plus, the Lip Velvet wand allows for precision application, while the punchy pigments deliver perfectly blurring, long-lasting colour.

My experience: I was somewhat cautious, recalling less-than-pleasant encounters with matte formulas that made me look as though I’d been wandering the Sahara. To my delight, this one managed to feel rather velvety all day, and it didn’t create unsightly cracks come lunchtime.

Ideal for: It’s an ideal pick if you love a statement lip without the dryness often associated with mattes. If your lips are extremely chapped or you prefer glossy finishes, you might find this a smidge too matte for comfort.

10

Biotherm

Aquasource Hydra Barrier Cream

Biotherm Aquasource Hydra Barrier Cream in a frosted jar with lid removed.

At a glance: A wash of lightweight moisture, Biotherm's new Aquasource Hydra Barrier Cream aims to bolster the skin’s moisture barrier, courtesy of ceramides and Biotherm’s signature Life Plankton. Its gel-cream texture provides an immediate feeling of freshness, making it especially appealing during hectic mornings when you need a quick, fuss-free solution.

My experience: With the current weather waging war against my skin, I found this a welcome relief. Though it doesn’t boast the richest consistency, the formula felt cooling upon contact — like a splash — leaving my skin plump but never greasy.

Ideal for: If you sit somewhere between normal and combination skin and need a non-greasy product to hydrate. Those requiring a genuinely heavy-duty cream to tackle severe dryness should perhaps look for a richer option.
