Starting early tomorrow morning, you’ll be able to stream an hour-long segment of Björk’s sensational ‘Cornucopia’ tour on Apple TV+ and Apple Music, ahead of the concert film’s full release in cinemas

Calling all Björk fans (and who isn’t, really): very soon, you’ll be able to revisit – or experience for the first time, if you didn’t manage to score tickets – a part of the iconic Icelandic artist’s spectacular ‘Cornucopia’ tour. The hour-long film, shot during Björk’s 2023 Lisbon leg of the phenomenal theatrical concerts, will air early tomorrow morning (a crisp 4 AM Swedish time) on Apple TV+ and Apple Music. It offers an excerpt of the full show, which is set to arrive in cinemas at an undetermined date in the near future.

Kicked off in 2019 and resumed in 2022 post-pandemic, ‘Cornucopia’ wasn’t your regular, big-production tour helmed by a mega-star. It was a feast for every sense, harnessing cutting-edge technology, intricate set design and sound systems alongside virtual worlds that plucked audiences into Björk’s magical universe - all topped off with the artist’s mesmerising music, of course. Now, we get the unique opportunity to relish it all over again.

The former Vogue Scandinavia cover star took to Instagram to share the exciting news. “This has been a long journey with hundreds of people helping out. I am so beyond enormously grateful to every single one of them,” she wrote. “I feel the modern concert film is a matriarchally friendly construct, welcomed in the current climate where female musicians can share their worlds uncorrupted.” With ‘Cornucopia,’ Björk aimed to create a “fully immersive experience,” explaining, “my intention was to bring what we had created for 21st-century VR into a 19th-century theatre – taking it from the headset to the stage.” She concluded her post with, “I hope you enjoy it.” And we most definitely will.
