Breitling releases its smallest Chronomat yet, marking the latest step in its transition to lab-grown diamonds
Watch aficionados longing to add an extra dose of elegance to their timepiece collection, it's time to rejoice: Breitling has released its smallest watch to date. At only 28mm, the new take on the '80s Chronomat is discerningly downsized – while not forfeiting its versatile functionality and sleek sports aesthetic.
“The Chronomat is a Breitling classic,” says the brand's CEO Georges Kern. “A watch that signals a spirit of adventure and a certain confidence for all occasions. It’s versatile and all-purpose yet elegant, a true time piece that looks great, wears well, and says style all at once.”
The sparkling design marks the latest step in the brand's transition from mined to lab-grown diamonds. Each watch bears raised riders at the 15-minute mark accented by these traceable gems – a feature which is a signature for Breitling. Together with this new slender form, this is a watch that is not only about style and influence, but integrity.

This new take on the Chronomat is available in four styles. Watch-lovers can choose from blue, pink or black mother-of-pearl set against a stainless steel band and for those after a touch more extravagance, there's the option of a mother-of-pearl dial, hugged by a bezel of the new lab-grown diamonds (accompanied by a band of duo-tone stainless steel and 18k red gold). No matter your aesthetic or taste, there is an iteration of the 28 for you.
