By Josefin Forsberg

Want to stay thoroughly timeless? Invest in the best basics money can buy which, for spring/summer '25, will come courtesy of covetable Swedish brand CDLP

Nothing helps alleviate outfit anxiety when getting dressed in the morning like a good set of basics. Basics lay the very foundation of fashion, a well-cut T-shirt or a snug tank top can very well make or break a look, after all. And few brands have mastered simple staples quite like CDLP.

Since the Swedish brand was founded in 2016 by Christian Larson and Andreas Palm, CDLP has offered elevated everyday essentials made from earth-conscious materials. The original ambition was to help men feel sexy in their underwear, but since the addition of womenswear in 2016, the brand has been a roaring success with all genders.

For spring/summer '25, the Swedish brand stays true to its minimalistic core with a colour palette of black and white, complemented by the tones of navy, steel grey and a fresh dash of pale yellow lemongrass green. Carefully curated, the collection continues its cotton triumph with black and white underwear spanning thongs, triangle bras, briefs and jock straps.

The womenswear line-up builds on the former success of its swathing frocks, the aforementioned snug tank top is extended into a maxi dress – the perfect piece to layer over CDLP's sporty swimwear. You'll need to peruse the menswear to find an oversized t-shirt, with CDLP's womenswear focusing on body-hugging silhouettes – naturally accessorised with the branded square scarf in a checkered print.

Expanding on its T-shirt family, CDLP's 'Rib Vest' – crafted from the same sumptuous heavy rib fabric as the classic tank top – joins the comfort-focused ranks. Designed with a classic crew neck, fitted armholes, and subtly curved side seams, it offers the perfect base for any outfit – be it paired with black barrel-legged Toteme denim for the minimalist, or grounding an outrageous outfit combination for Copenhagen Fashion Week.
