Superbly soft, quilted and dressed up with braided details – Chanel has declared the start of the ski season with the launch of its new winter collection, Coco Neige

It seems Chanel is ready to hit the slopes. The French Maison has officially kicked off the ski season with the Coco Neige collection shot by Juergen Teller in none other than Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris, complete with its magnificent art-deco mirrored staircase.

The new ski collection draws on muted shades of beige, soft-to-the-touch suede, art-deco motifs, and velvet-effect canvas. Puffers are finished with braided details, ski jackets proudly display the interlocking C logo, jumpsuits are rendered in black corduroy, and cashmere sets are adorned with Chanel's classic camellias. That said, this collection has spared no expense when balancing fashion with function. The '70s-inspired pieces are fused with high-performance winter sportswear technology.

But it wouldn't be an apres-ski-friendly collection by Chanel without the brand's indelible underlayers. White jeans with jewelled buttons, fine-knit sweaters, skin-tight leggings, and zip-up jackets have us dressed for post-slope cocktails in no time. All are best sported with the collection's accessories, such as quilted gloves, cowls, retro sunglasses, sneakers, or shearling ankle boots.

To complete the Chanel ski look, the brand offers black and white skis and poles marked with the iconic double C logo — the ultimate finishing touch for a day on the slopes.

It’s skiing, the Chanel way.
