Ahead of Charlotte Tilbury launching in Denmark, the British beauty giant partnered with Rotate on the brand's soft 'Pillow Talk' pink runway look. This is how you get the look
Romantic rouge, glowing skin and a plush pink lip are all trademarks of Charlotte Tilbury's beauty arsenal – especially the eponymous founder's 'Pillow Talk' products. For Copenhagen Fashion Week, the makeup guru's niece Sofia Tilbury (a makeup maven in her own right and the brand's artistic director) headed to the Danish capital to get the Rotate girls – including the likes of Instagram sensation Vivian Horn and homegrown talent Emili Sindlev – ready for the spring/summer '25 show.
Charlotte Tilbury partnered with Rotate at Copenhagen Fashion Week as a warm-up to the much-anticipated launch of the brand in Denmark. "I am so excited," Sofia gushed. "It is an absolute honour to be supporting the brand and their vision for their spring/summer '25 collection."
Rotate's romantic collection, shown in a pruned Rococo garden, evoked sensuality, sensitivity and the thrill of a summer romance. Three facets Tilbury wanted to capture on the faces of the models. "To complement the delicate fabrics, soft colour palette and blossoming floral motifs, we created a makeup look focused on fresh, dewy complexion, with a neutral, understated eye and soft pop of colour on the lips," the makeup artist shares.
To correct and conceal any imperfections, we applied Charlotte’s 'Magic Vanish' followed by' Beautiful Skin Concealer'. "We wanted to create some natural dimension and second-skin glow on the face, so we applied Charlotte’s new 'Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick' on the high points, also using a slightly darker shade for warmth and definition," adds Tilbury. "To refresh the skin and provide an additional layer of hydration and dewiness, we misted Charlotte’s 'Magic Hydrator Mist' over the face."
There was lit-from-within glow beckoned with the brand's 'Beauty Light Wand' in Spotlight and the brows were kept soft, fluffy and natural – gently swept up using Charlotte’s 'Brow Fix'. But the main focus of the look was the brand's (almost) trademark rosy and radiant yet natural pop of colour.
The artists backstage may not have been using the brand's impossibly popular 'Pillow Talk' series, instead blending the brand's new 'Beautiful Skin Island Glow Lip & Cheek' in the shades Paradise Pink, Sun-blushed Glow and Pinched Cheek Glow onto the apples of the cheeks, depending on complexion). But, the brand's (almost) trademark rosy and radiant yet natural pop of colour – often perpetrated by the aforementioned 'Pillow Talk' – was most definitely there and coming up roses.
