See all the cowboy-coded looks Scandi tastemakers are wearing to Coachella this year

It was a veritable stampede of content creators who entered the Coachella grounds this week and it seems our Nordic representatives had agreed upon a fitting theme beforehand. Sporting a slew of cowboy-coded looks, Scandinavian tastemakers like Emili Sindlev and Emilia Sindberg entered this year's fashion rodeo with cowboy boots kicking up dust clouds and ranchers' hats at the ready. A fitting choice in the wake of the release of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter.

Headed to Palm Springs to attend Revolve Festival, an invite-only event held during Coachella's first weekend, the Scandinavian style set mingled with a bevvy of tone-setting celebrities and style mavens gather in their finest fashion to be snapped for socials.

Emili Sindlev spent the first day of Coachella proper with Filipino actress and model Kylie Verzosa, posing in front of the now iconic Ferris wheel wearing a striped Miu Miu t-shirt, colourful crochet short shorts and bright red cowboy boots. Verzosa looked equally ready to round up the cattle, wearing black and white cowboy boots with a matching denim set, a crochet bikini top and a studded statement belt.

Back on Revolve turf in Palm Springs, Emilia Silberg strutted her stuff wearing a faded double denim set consisting of a cropped bustier and a low-waisted mini skirt, pairing the ensemble with black fold-over cowboy boots, a slouchy shoulder bag and statement silver jewellery.

Day two saw Emili Sindlev whip up a sartorial storm while stopping by many of the festival's culinary highlights. Posing outside Cane's fried chicken food truck, the Danish content creator wore cut-off daisy dukes, a brown Stetson hat, a buckle belt, and stitched taupe cowboy boots. Sindlev juxtaposed these cowgirl classics with unexpectedly modern pieces: a leopard bikini top to beat the heat, sparkling statement jewellery and a wonderfully kitsch Dior Saddle Bag to boot.

Coachella is far from over, with the first week only wrapping up, and we can undoubtedly expect more cowboy-coded looks to come. These ensembles may be all 'all hat and no cattle'—curated for Instagram rather than ranching. That said, we're ready for the rest of this fashion rodeo.
