Baum und Pferdgarten - SS25

By Clare McInerney

Go team! Turning the athletic track of Østerbro Stadium into its runway, Baum und Pferdgarten makes a play for gold with its 'Office Olympics' spring/summer '25 showcase

This year has seen a summer of sports like no other, and Baum und Pferdgarten isn't fighting it. “We’ve been trying to watch as many of the Olympic games where Denmark has athletes represented,” creative directors Helle Hestehave and Rikke Baumgarten exclaim ahead of their spring/summer ‘25 show. “It’s always a joy to root for Denmark!”

Tonight at Østerbro Stadium, a stylish crowd gathered to root for Denmark – but this time Danish fashion: lining the athletic track to witness the Baum und Pferdgarten’s SS25 ‘Office Olympics’ collection in motion. Models stepped out from the maze-like wings of the stadium as though it were the Parisian Stade de France of the Olympics itself to the driving beat of Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’ – and play was underway.

This year, Baum und Pferdgarten celebrates 25 years and in that time, the brand has firmly established its preppy and offbeat DNA. Naturally, the ‘Office Olympics’ see it edge seamlessly into sportier territory: note the football-inspired shirts, streamlined tracksuits and tube socks, and a scattering of collegiate-style numbers and logos. But true to the collection name, there’s an office-appropriate quality to the lace, frills, A-line skirts, and cardigans. “Our thought was, ‘What do people wear to these games, coming straight from the office?,” the creative duo say. “What happens with you mix traditional office attire with, for example, a football jersey?”

Superfans will notice some red threads, like the glittering spherical soccer ball handbags – a new iteration of the Tenenbaum-inspired tennis balls that accessorised the AW23 collection. But like any strong sporting season, Baum und Pferdgarten’s SS25 is sure to convert new supporters too.
