Fashion has never been more fun than when designed by style maven Caroline Bille Brahe. With a knack for unconventional prints and accessorising, we're signing up to her playful approach for our summer '25 wardrobes
If you were to summarise the core of model Caroline Bille Brahe’s brand Caro Editions, it would be as a love letter to Copenhagen’s cool girls. When she first spoke to Vogue Scandinavia of the launch of her label in 2022, Bille Brahe called her pieces quintessentially Danish. "When you see the girls on the street here, they have fun with their fashion," she says. "They're not scared of colours."
And let’s make one thing clear, two years of fun still permeates every aspect of the brand’s collection. It’s there, plainly visible in the Rolling Stones-reminiscent print of a pair of red lips smoking a cigarette and in the belted waist of a zebra set. Nothing about Bille Brahe’s designs are toned down, instead there’s the delightful sense of dressing up and relishing in zany details – fishermen hats, yellow velvet bows, a scattering of rainbow sequins and yuppie shoulder pads.
The beauty of Bille Brahe’s collection – as fun and maximalist as it is – is in the potential of the singular pieces: in the nipped waists of corduroy jackets and in the comfort of striped cotton trousers, not to forget the beautiful checkered coat with a red collar and a matching hat. As a whole, the collection inspired us to play – to pair clashing prints and to pick our way through well-stocked vintage stores. That said, there’s also a distinctly functional air to Bille Brahe’s fashion. Quintessentially Danish, if you will.
