Deadwood - SS25

By Josefin Forsberg

Coming down Deadwood's cobblestoned Copenhagen runway was the coolest indie rock band you can imagine

Maybe it was the guitar case carried down the runway by one of the models? Or maybe it was the devil-may-care attitude in the layered styling, pairing the Swedish brand’s impossibly cool signature leather coats and jackets with novelty print T-shirts and airy parachute trousers? Deadwood presented what looked like the coolest indie rock band on the road this season.

Going all in on grunge, it looked as if Alanis Morissette made her way onto the runway wearing khaki workwear and classic black moto jackets as the lineup rolled by. Not to mention a loose-fit long-sleeved top seemingly plucked straight from Kurt Cobain’s closet, which came sauntering down the cobblestones alongside two-tone leather trousers and a worn beige baseball cap.

With its weathered textiles and faded colourways, the collection answered the question: How does a leather brand with a love for consciously sourced materials evolve onto the runway? It leans into its core aesthetic, producing black-and-white leather sets with superb star power and accessories through eye-catching pops of red.
