The Princess continues her royal patronage of Swedish-designed evening wear, wearing an all-black ensemble by Toteme to the Royal Variety Performance in London last night
When it comes to formal evening attire, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is usually decked out in suitably regal sequins and crystals – and is never one to shy away from bold colour. But to join the Prince and Princess of Wales at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night, the Princess took a more understated approach, opting for an elegant all-black look courtesy of beloved Stockholm-based brand Toteme.
Crown Princess Victoria joins a line of A-listers to have endorsed Toteme in recent weeks, with Jennifer Lawrence stepping out in New York in the brand's oversized camel coat, and Hailey Bieber spotted in Los Angeles in Toteme's black long-line leather coat and slouchy suede tote. The Swedish royal's red carpet-ready attire showcased the versatility of Toteme's designs, proving the brand's pieces work just as well on the urban streets of New York or LA as they do at a royal affair.

Following the delivery of a preppy tweed look earlier in the day, Crown Princess Victoria switched into the black ensemble for the Royal Variety Performance. With Prince Daniel by her side, she made her arrival in a strapless gown with a front slit and triangle scarf draped over her shoulders – with both pieces cut from the same fluffy and feathery black fabric. The Princess's commitment to Toteme also extended to her jewellery, as she accessorised with the brand's 18kt gold-plated collar and bracelet detailed with black enamel. In her hand, she carried a favourite from her accessory rota: Toteme's black monogrammed clutch.
It's not the first time the Princess has affirmed her affinity for Toteme. This year alone, she has worn a white (similarly feathered) Toteme gown to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Royal Swedish Opera in January and a black and white floral dress by the brand to present the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in May.
