The Canadian actor opted for Scandinavian suiting at last weekend's starry event, while offering the first sneak peek of another collaboration between Tiger of Sweden and Ben Cobb
This past Saturday marked the fourth edition of the annual Academy Museum Gala, which saw a bevvy of A-listers – from Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner to Demi Moore and Pamela Anderson – flock to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. As expected, the star-studded event delivered many commendable fashion moments, but our top pick was served up by Canadian actor Dan Levy.
Styled by Harry Lambert (the mastermind behind Emma Corrin’s head-turning looks during last summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine press tour, for instance), the Schitt’s Creek star brought a breath of fresh air onto the red carpet with dapper tailoring courtesy of Tiger of Sweden. The look is a first taste of the Swedish label’s third collection with British fashion media powerhouse Ben Cobb, Levy’s ‘70s-infused look featured a sharply-cut, double-breasted cream suit complete with wide lapels and flared trousers, evoking a groovy, retro feel.

Adding a dash of playfulness was a black polka-dot tie worn over a crisp white shirt, while Levy’s signature, bold-rimmed black glasses and matching shoes tied the ensemble together. “This is the very first look of the collection [with Ben Cobb] and Tiger of Sweden are happy to have Dan premiering it during the glamourous Academy Museum Gala,” says the brand.
Entitled ‘Summer Nights’, Tiger of Sweden’s third co-designed collection with Cobb will hit the stores in March next year. Judging by the line-up’s name and Levy’s get-up from last weekend, we’re in for another sleek, nostalgia-tinged capsule, likely heavy with pieces perfect for summer soirées on those light-filled, balmy evenings.
