The band, For You, looked as dapper as ever during their first-ever performance, clad head-to-toe in the Norwegian brand
For You, the international band led by revered British actor Ed Westwick (best known for his portrayal of Gossip Girl's Chuck Bass), only released their first single last year, yet they've already cultivated a burgeoning following with their emotive, catchy tunes that blend alt-rock, indie, and a dash of pop-punk. Just a couple of weeks ago, Oslo had the honour of hosting the band’s debut gig as For You took over the city’s Parkteatret, with a queue snaking around the block as eager fans awaited the chance to see them live. “Oslo, we love you… Thank you for all the energy you gave us. I was very nervous, and you helped me so much,” Westwick wrote post-gig in his Instagram caption.
For a Norwegian spectacle, it was only appropriate that Westwick and his crew opted for a local brand, choosing the beloved Pearl Octopuss.y. Decked out in ensembles by the Oslo-based label, the band took the stage looking dapper and playful in black-and-white tailoring, as styled by Mina Roda. Some pieces were embellished with delicate lace, while others featured the brand’s signature sparkly swirls and chunky silver brooches. Their sleek attire perfectly captured the cool, edgy vibe For You is quickly establishing.

Fans of the band (and of Chuck Bass) can look forward to more sightings of the group in Norway, as its capital is where For You writes, records, and produces their music – a fitting choice for their first-ever show, considering band member Hans Kristian Nordin hails from Oslo. Expect more fashion moments celebrating homegrown talent; it will be exciting to see which Scandi designer the group embraces next.
