At last night’s Guldbagge Awards, Edvin Ryding and Felicia Maxime mastered a tricky feat: a coordinated couple look. We speak to stylist Paul Edwards about the couple’s all-white moment
Though they walked the red carpet separately, there was no missing Edvin Ryding and Felicia Maxime’s coordinated white looks at Guldbaggen 2025. The couple, who co-star in the Netflix film En Del Av Dig (A Part of You), appeared as ice prince and princess in looks that mirrored the snow-covered streets of Stockholm. This, however, was hardly a Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears matchy-matchy denim moment, but rather two distinct looks in a coordinated palette.
Maxime’s slinky asymmetric white gown with sheer panels and dangling crystals came courtesy of emerging Taiwanese-Finnish designer Yu-Chen Lin (the dress was plucked from the designer’s MA collection at Aalto university). Ryding, meanwhile, wore an off-white Oscar Jacobson tuxedo jacket over a crisp white Eton shirt, topped with a vintage sheer tank with crystal embellishments (a nod to Maxime’s dress) and finished with a black tie, tied in a bow.
The looks were imagined by stylist and photographer Paul Edwards, who deftly navigated the task of creating complementary looks that also shone individually. “I literally had two days to get their looks ready,” says Edwards, who was spontaneously asked to style the couple for the big event while working with Ryding on another fitting.
“For Edvin’s look, I wanted to introduce something new and youthful while keeping his essence and personal style,” says Edwards, who came up with the unexpected twist of tying the tie in a bow. Maxime, meanwhile, gave Edwards a simple directive: “forest fairy”, a notion perfectly captured by Yu-chen Lin’s creation. “We had to have it,” says Edwards of the dress. Makeup artist Christopher Mørch Husby tied the looks together with highlighter-happy looks that left the couple literally glowing. Their coordinated ash blonde hair was styled by Adam Lukacs, who nailed the forest fairy brief with Maxime’s long, wavy locks.

As soon as he got the assignment, Edwards knew he wanted the looks to play off one another. “Obviously they’re a couple, so I wanted to honour that with a bit of coordination,” he says, noting that white was the perfect choice to embody their youthful spirit. The vintage tank top worn by Ryding pulled the concept together, mirroring the sheer details in Maxime’s dress. Two looks instantly frozen in our collective consciousness – ice ice baby indeed.
