While in St. Moritz for Moncler's autumn/winter '24 runway show, Elsa Hosk delivered her very own style guide on how to dress for the Alps. Below, we spotlight five of favourite looks as served by Hosk – and how to shop the look

A day of down-hill skiing
For a day spent zipping down the slopes of St. Moritz, what you wear is key. That said, you do not have to forgo fashion for functionality – if you take styling tricks from Elsa Hosk's sartorial rule book.
For her first outing in the alps, Hosk paired a black ski jacket with flared black ski trousers. At first glance, you could easily call it a basic ensemble for the slopes. But, of course, our favourite Swedish supermodel elevated the look with a perfectly cinched waist and visor sunglasses.

Relaxing in the chalet
Leisurewear is just as key as snow-proof salopettes when packing for you ski vacation. After all, after a day of rigorous exercise, you need something comfortable to slip into.
Still in doubt? Just look to Hosk and her expertly put-together loungewear look for guidance. The Swedish ski bunny could be spotted on the balcony of her chalet hotel post downhill runs sporting a cable knit set by Magda Butrym.

Shopping in St. Moritz
If you're feeling drained after your first couple of days in the snow, a retail tour in town is a surefire way to recharge. Those in the know (Hosk included) will swear by the shopping in St. Moritz. After all, this playground for sartorially-savvy ski bunnies offers a boulevard lined with the likes of Prada, Miu Miu, Zegna and Hermès.
For her own outing, Hosk again swathed herself in Magda Butrym – pairing her floor-length shearling lined leather coat with Chanel snow boots and orange-tinted Tom Ford sunglasses.

Fashion-savvy après-ski
With the emergence of the 1980s ( a truly iconic time for ski fashion, with colourful Dale of Norway sweaters and wet-wicking stirrup trousers), of course the details from the decade will find its way into our slope-bound suitcases. Especially for the most fashionable of ski vacation events: the après-ski.
Sipping mulled wine on any number of the sunny terraces available in the Alps, you can allow yourself to be more bold with your look. Even so, who knew cowboy details would blend perfectly into the fashion landscape of the alps?

Dressed-up dinner out
The one occasion we most often forget to pack for when going on a ski vacation? Those dressed-up dinners out. With a thriving restaurant scene, there's little point to stay in the Chalet every night.
Again, we take our cue from Hosk packing a pair of patent leather pumps – swapped to snow boots whenever we actually have to walk anywhere – and impossibly trendy metallic trousers. Don't worry, there are plenty of taxis in St. Moritz.
