Modernising traditional skiwear is no small feat, but Swedish brand Ennue is up for the challenge. Having just launched their debut collection, we're willing to bet you'll want to wear these high-performing pieces both on and off the slopes

Ennue might be a newcomer on the slopes, but this Swedish brand boasts the sartorial expertise of a seasoned skiwear pro. The brand’s concept — modernising traditional skiwear by merging high-performance functionality with sleek silhouettes and contemporary colourways — emerged when founders Emily and Daniel Stendahl struggled to find the perfect pieces for a winter holiday in Verbier, Switzerland.

Frustrated by the lack of uncompromising design-led options, the Stendahls realised that what they sought was nowhere to be found. Identifying this gap in the market, the duo began crafting a line that combines the practicality of Scandinavian skiwear with the more lifestyle-led aesthetics of the Alps. “We wanted to challenge traditional skiwear,” they explain. “As avid skiers, we understand the need for high-quality protective gear, but it shouldn’t feel like putting on a costume. Our approach focuses on exceptional performance and comfort, enhanced by refined, stylish silhouettes.”

The result? Ennue.

Ennue aims to bridge the gap between function and fashion, offering a versatile collection that seamlessly transitions from snow-capped summits to urban settings. Catering to both men and women, their debut collection, 'Snow Seeker,' features padded ski jackets with cinched waists and high-waisted salopettes made from water-resistant and windproof shell fabric. The best part? They're insulated with breathable, recycled ocean-bound plastic.

Complementing these performance pieces are wool and mohair mid-layers with plenty of styling potential beyond the mountainside. The power shoulders of the charcoal-grey Gneiss fleece, for instance, are just as at home in a chilly office as they are on a windswept peak, while the fuzzy Flint knit is an ideal layer for both alpine adventures and weekend wardrobes.

So, if you're seeking new styles for the slopes, we suggest you warm up your wardrobe with an ski-savvy injection of Ennue.
