We got a peek into the night's proceedings with the world's youngest billionaire businessman Gustav Witzøe
The Met Gala is one of the biggest nights in the calendar, if not the biggest night in fashion’s calendar. And every year, without fail, it brings the brightest and biggest stars out onto the red carpet in their most stylish of ensembles. This year’s theme was all about celebrating an industry icon and was “in honour of Karl”, a sentiment which guests embraced whole heartedly. There were reams of pearls, tailoring, copious amounts of monochrome and there was not one, but two appearances from the designer’s much-loved pet cat Choupette.
Some of our favourite Scandinavians joined the celebrity throng, embodying the very glitz and glamour that the Met was built on. Join us as we accompany Norwegian Gustav Witzøe, the world's youngest billionaire businessman as featured in our Apr-May Issue #5, for the evening as he wafts from the luxury of his hotel room at The Pierre to the flashbulbs and bright lights of the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City, and then on to the after-parties.
