Vogue Scandinavia gets an exclusive glimpse backstage with the Danish singer as she dresses in Ganni's 'fabrics of the future' for her Roskilde performance
In addition to the warm-ups and rituals customary before shows, performers must also make a key decision: what to wear. For Danish singer and songwriter Bathsheba, the process involves hours scrolling through Pinterest, watching videos of her favourite artists, and brainstorming with her stylist, Natacha Vester. “For me, a good concert look needs to have two things,” she shares, “something I can move in – because I jump a lot on stage – and something that makes me feel confident. A good bonus is always something that sparkles.”
Bathsheba certainly sparkled at Copenhagen's Roskilde festival last weekend in her two custom looks by Ganni. As a self-proclaimed lover of vintage shopping and someone committed to buying good quality pieces to last a lifetime, Bathsheba’s concert looks reflected that sustainable focus. In the pieces made for Bathsheba (along with none other than Ice Spice and Jessie Ware), Ganni utilised cycora®, one of its ‘fabrics of the future’ material solutions, which sees end-of-life textiles repurposed into new fabrics.

On taking the stage at Roskilde, Bathsheba reflects, “Roskilde Festival is a dream to perform at, and it is such a nerve-wracking experience for me to take the stage at a festival that I have so much history with and a personal connection to.” Those nerves certainly didn’t stop her from putting on a great performance, cementing Bathsheba as a star on the rise. As she looks ahead to new collaborations, features, and a headline show in Copenhagen in October, she stays grounded: “I feel so endlessly grateful to call this my job.”
