Vogue Scandinavia's latest digital cover star stunned in little black dresses of the sultry variety during the events surrounding the 2024 Golden Globes
When she graced our latest digital cover, Swedish-Canadian Malin Åkerman was heralded as a rom-com queen who holds a nostalgic place in our hearts. Over the past weekend, the actress didn't just rule our favourite feel-good films from the early aughts but came to reign supreme on the red carpets surrounding the Golden Globes.
The dress code? Little black dresses, preferably in figure-hugging silhouettes oozing sultry sex-appeal. Take Åkerman's appearance at the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios awards season celebration, for example. Designed by Carolina Herrera, the long-sleeved knee-length dress with ruched shoulders featured both a high-cut slit and a plunging neckline. As for accessories, Åkerman looked to homegrown Swedish jeweller Caroline Svedblom's cascading Penelope earrings in a striking fuchsia pink.

Swapping long sleeves for no sleeves, Åkerman had a sartorial leg-up on the other attendees at the Moët & Chandon celebration following the awards. Stepping out with her husband and fellow actor Jake Donnelly, she chose a strapless black dress featuring an high-low hem adorned with satin ruffles, revealing just the right amount of leg.
The glamorous get-up was elevated by Åkerman's choice of hair and and accessories: the actress pulled back her hair in a sleek slicked-back style (glueing down her usual funky layers and fringe) and a pair of silver pumps.
