Yesterday, music industry's night of nights arrived as the 2025 Grammys took over Los Angeles. As expected, all of the A-list invitees turned up dressed to the nines. Below, relish every look from the starry red carpet
Last night, the 2025 Grammys took place at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena – the first awards show since devastating wildfires ravaged the city last month. The ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, set the tone for the rest of the season as people grapple with celebrating artistic achievement in the wake of tragedy.
In January, the Recording Academy, MusiCares CEO Harvey Mason Jr., and chair of the academy’s board of trustees Tammy Hurt confirmed that the ceremony would go on as planned. “This year’s show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honouring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” they wrote in a joint statement.
Beyoncé led the 67th Grammy nominations with 11 nods, while Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar followed her with seven apiece. While the big four categories were nail biters, the race for Best New Artist was also tight, with breakout stars Doechii, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter all up for the prize.
The Grammys know no shortage of exciting fashion moments: last year alone Doja Cat wore an attention-grabbing Dilara Findikoglu dress with a host of gothic temporary tattoos, while Lana del Rey wore a black velvet dress she thrifted herself, and Taylor Swift donned custom Schiaparelli to announce her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. While we imagined that the evening’s somber tone would affect the red carpet, there was sure to be some noteworthy fashion.
