The Swedish brand's autumn/winter '24 collection is an ode to finding light amidst darkness
Sometimes, navigating through rough patches can unlock our creativity in unexpected ways. Our craft can also offer a place of solace and refuge amidst adversity, just as it did for Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt when she created her brand’s autumn/winter ‘24 collection.
“This collection came to life in a time of darkness – with a desire to create something soothing, comforting, and hopeful,” the brand explains in the AW24 notes. “The inspiration being acts of kindness – to others as well as yourself.”
In crafting this season’s line-up, Sjöstedt looked to soul-nourishing sources like empathy, poetry, tenderness, and peace. With a mission to create a collection “intended to warm the body and the soul,” she leaned into comfortable and plush materials, fashioning them into pieces that nonetheless exude character. Quilted, puff-sleeve jackets envelop you like a warm hug, while supple, furry shirts offer the ultimate softness. Elsewhere, fluffy tulle mini dresses and elegant, embroidered co-ord sets are bound to uplift spirits even on the bleakest of days.
