The Swedish brand's new collection is a floral fantasy come to life

“What is real and what is fantasy?” That’s the question posed by Swedish brand Ida Sjöstedt concerning its spring/summer '25 collection. The collection, titled 'Into the Unknown', delves into the dichotomy of real and fictional, exploring the creative possibilities that a free imagination can bring. Looking at the pieces, it's not hard to imagine a fairytale princess or an intrepid explorer like a grown-up Alice from Alice in Wonderland donning these creations. Their whimsy and charm is undeniable.

Inspiration for the collection came from both the past and the future, with the brand reflecting on northern tales while considering the digital landscape. Nature plays a large role, with floral motifs appearing both in colourful prints and voluminous fabric flowers. Largely composed of bright whites, warm beiges, and rich blacks, the collection dresses up neutrals with textural intrigue and fine craftsmanship. These ruffles and ties elevate classic silhouettes from A-line skirts to a belted trench coat. With options suited to everywhere from the office to the beach, a spring wedding to a night at the opera, Ida Sjöstedt is here to say that fantasy can become reality.
