From Zendaya's Challengers style dictating summer wardrobes to our unrelenting crush on Casper Ruud – tennis is most definitely trending. And as the French Open kicks off, Swedish J.Lindeberg is serving up a sartorial smash with its latest tennis collection
Whether it’s a consequence of Zendaya’s Challengers looks on both the silver screen and red carpets or a summer-ready development of the ‘old money’ aesthetic synonymous with Wimbledon whites, it seems that the racquet sport is all the rage. Swooping pleated skirts, figure-hugging spandex, sweat-wicking headbands and preppy collared shirts have ventured beyond the courts, hitting city streets and heading for an aesthetic tennis apex this summer.
Leading the charge on our home turf is J.Lindeberg. Founded in 1996, the Swedish brand was made to inject some (much-needed) style into golf wear. Since then, the brand has continued to bridge fashion and sports, offering high-performance activewear that doesn’t compromise.
Now, the brand has released its much-awaited Summer Holiday 2024 Tennis Collection. The final instalment of its ‘Islands’ theme, the collection takes its inspiration not only from the clean-cut courts but from the colour and dynamic atmosphere of the Dominican Republic. Crisp tennis cuts are zhuzhed up by teal accents while grand slam sets came rendered in navy and cream with crimson details. The match point, however, Vogue Scandinavia awards to the classic white pleated tennis skirt.

Kicking off today, the collection can be seen in action during the French Open as tennis star Chris Eubanks wears J. Lindeberg’s 'Marco' polo shirt paired and 'Preston' shorts, complemented by the 'Andrew' cap, on the courts. “The Summer Holiday tennis collection was made for the fierce competition on the courts as well as the casual, easy elegance of summer," says Neil Lewty, creative director at J.Lindeberg. “Inspired by everything our brand appreciates the most about the Dominican Republic, it combines performance, comfort, and style just like you'd expect from J.Lindeberg.”
