KAMO - AW25

By Eleanor Kittle

Making its Copenhagen Fashion Week debut, KAMO presents its first ready-to-wear collection for autumn/winter '25, bringing retro academia into the modern wardrobe

Collegiate, considered and contemporary are the words that sprung to mind when taking in Danish brand KAMO’s inaugural ready-to-wear collection on the third day of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Foregoing a physical show, the brand chose to utilise its flagship store as a presentation space for showcasing its autumn-winter '25 collection. An ode to its manufacturing prowess, models displayed the label’s veritable smorgasbord of garments, so meticulously crafted they guaranteed the ideal perennial wardrobe.

Classic everyday pieces such as logo-emblazoned long-sleeved tops were paired with premium Japanese denim, crafted into coats and jeans, and adorned with intricate hand stitching. The knitwear and jackets boasted generous silhouettes that cocooned the body whilst maintaining a feel of versatility, while baseball caps, boxers and bags infixed a varsity tone. Overtly masculine silhouettes were softened by injections of faux fur, Jane Fonda-esque leg-warmers and belts that nipped the waist at just the right point, all of which anchored the collection within the brand’s retro aesthetic. The collection's vintage mood and cosy aesthetic were heightened by its colour palette – deep indigos, rich browns, army greens, and raw neutrals – creating a sophisticated and seasonal feel.

To creative director Tim Hancock, this presentation paid homage to vintage academic culture – a time when quality trumped quantity – while reinforcing the label's commitment to sustainability and conscious production. “This collection represents a natural evolution for KAMO,” says Hancock. “We are thrilled to introduce garments that echo the craftsmanship and innovation KAMO is known for, translated into everyday wardrobe-essentials. Each piece is designed to transcend trends and seasons, offering wearers something truly unique.”
