Swedish couple and former Vogue Scandinavia cover stars Kelly Gale and Joel Kinnaman wed this weekend in an intimate ceremony in Nevada, following their Burning Man road trip
Their romance started in the Instagram DM’s, so it's only fitting this was the platform Swedish couple Kelly Gale and Joel Kinnaman used to announce their nuptials. ‘Always been soulmates. Husband & Wife returning from the playa’ is the caption Gale opted for when sharing 10 intimate moments from their wedding, set against the backdrop of Nevada’s iconic Black Rock City – including a video of their first (long and passionate) kiss as man and wife.

Gale and Kinnaman opted for a small Burning Man-esque ceremony, standing barefoot, save a thin shawl, on the desert floor. The couple dressed in flowing white ensembles, which Gale enhanced through red braids, a silver headdress and a chain bustier.
It was a heartwarming moment to see, as the couple once exclusively shared with Vogue Scandinavia that their journey to the aisle was not always easy. In their words, the engagement was 'mistimed', yet it forced them to work through their "shit."
