Tennis is a mesmerising sport. The stillness, the tension, the graceful athleticism. It’s a sport that sparks emotion and leaves an impression. For me, it brings vivid memories of when I was young, gathering to watch Swedish legend Björn Borg play in the Wimbledon tournament at his peak. I can still feel how time seemed to stop completely as we watched. The on-court action was thrilling, but so was the idea of having a star Scandinavian player rising in the ranks and representing us in his tennis whites.

Having the awe-inspiring Danish champion Caroline Wozniacki as our digital cover star invokes the same feeling. Since her first super-powered serves as a teenager, Caroline has been the compelling leading lady for her nation in tennis. Now, with a new generation following in her footsteps – including her fresh-faced mixed-doubles partner Holger Rune – Denmark is truly cementing itself as a tennis nation and it’s a delight to watch.

Caroline's achievements are something we can all get behind. Not just her rankings, seedings, and titles, but her unstoppable spirit in the face of adversity. Scandinavians will no doubt be gathering together, glued to their screens, as she rises to the challenges of Wimbledon and the Olympics this summer. But first, take a moment with us to celebrate and take pride in Caroline as she continues to show the world that our region is one to be reckoned with. I hope you enjoy.
