Just as *Vogue Scandinavia* has evolved and grown over the years, so do the talents and collaborators that we consider part of our extended family. One such talent that I hold dear to my heart is Norwegian-Somali actor Alisha Boe. I recall when we reached out to her to be profiled within our of our first print issues – a time in which Alisha was just starting to make an imprint in the industry amid the success of Netflix series *13 Reasons Why*. Now, as our candid cover story showcases, the 27-year-old is experiencing a swift trajectory in her career. But most importantly, Alisha is fearlessly using her voice to advocate for herself – and other young women – in her industry. It's an honour to capture Alisha at this pivotal point of her thrilling professional and personal ascent.

Alongside her hard work, it's been a pleasure to also witness Alisha become more integrated in the world of fashion, which she describes as entering “as a student”. With her striking looks and radiant character, it's no wonder Alisha is taking a deserved seat at the front rows of some of the biggest runway shows and red carpet events. 

Alisha cherishes the Norwegian and Somali elements of her identity (and *Vogue Scandinavia* will always consider her a home-grown star), but you can't ignore the 'valley girl' spirit that she has developed during her 20 years living in California. There's a relaxed and confident air to Alisha that we really wanted to enhance in this shoot, so naturally, we opted for more casually elevated pieces – the preppy Tommy Hilfiger look that she wears on the cover perfect captures Alisha's self-assured sense of ease.
