According to namesake founder Line of Oslo, we could all use a little bit of hope
Since 2006, Line Varner has been dressing the women of Norway through her eponymous brand Line of Oslo. From the start, the brand has put an emphasis on creating pieces that not only make you look good but also feel good, With her latest collection, Varner is also determined to install some hope in our lives. "In these uncertain times, the 'Hope' spring/summer '25 collection is designed to bring a sense of optimism," she says. "Born from a desire to find beauty amidst the chaos, this collection, embodies the belief that hope is essential—not just in how we view the world, but in how we present ourselves within it."
Hosted on the street outside of the brand's converted warehouse headquarters with guests seated on wicker chairs, the fashion shows a family affair – partly due to friends and family of the brand mingling with notable names in the Norwegian fashion industry, but mainly because Varner invited her children to help create the jovial atmosphere with Varner's son curating the soundtrack and her daughter Julie Varner (creative director of BikBok) styling the looks.
The airy collection that came down the runway was packed with airy pieces and ensembles made to ease your daily routine; cotton sets, billowing milk-maid dresses and sweeping maxi skirts. Transitioning from serene shades of creamy white and sky blue with the touch of a dainty floral print, the lineup of looks ventured into shocks of pink and orange through groovy 1970s patterns. After all, who could resist the charm of crochet and a fuzzy snow-white yak shearling wool jacket?
