Leathers, brilliant tailoring and gorgeous corsets sat alongside signature knits at Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard's spring/summer 2022 presentation
Known for her delicate, artistic knitwear, today's Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard presentation — shown by way of a screening at an art cinema in Charlottenborg — proved the emerging designer has much more to offer than that. Yes, there were knits aplenty; An eggplant purple dress with 'transparent knit' holes and a matching intarsia knit set with an abstract bowling pattern. But there were also leathers, brilliant tailoring and gorgeous corsets, worn backwards and bursting at the seams.
The aesthetic seems devoid of time and place, at once painstakingly current and, at other times, something that might have existed a decade or two ago. Simultaneously artsy and eccentric, with moments of sensual appeal.
