The eldest Hadid sister takes us behind the scenes of her tightly-scheduled Copenhagen Fashion Week
Alana Hadid has a thing for Copenhagen. For the second season in a row (last season she walked Saks Potts' rain-soaked seaside runway) the model and activist hit the Copenhagen Fashion Week circuit with gusto. "I love Copenhagen Fashion Week because it's one of the most innovative and supportive places in fashion," she says. The feeling is mutual; Danish brands certainly have a thing for Alana Hadid. It’s a fitting match given that the elder half-sister of Gigi and Bella Hadid (the three share father Mohamed Hadid) oft rocks the effortless, colour-forward aesthetic favoured on the Danish streets. From sitting front row at Rotate and Stamm, storming the runway for Munthe and Herskind and even proposing a Copenhagen-Los Angeles house-swap situation with Ganni co-founder Nicolaj Reffstrup over dinner (yes, just like the film The Holiday), Hadid certainly made the most of the season.
Below, Hadid, with an assist from photographer Nadine Matar (also Hadid’s cousin and CPHFW partner in crime), gives us an exclusive behind the scenes look of her tightly-scheduled fashion week.
