Swedish athlete, and former Vogue Scandinavia star Mondo Duplantis took his first steps into the fashion world, with his 'frow' appearance at Bottega Veneta’s spring/summer '25 show

The Scandi show-goers descended upon Milan, and amongst them was pole vaulting world record holder and multi-Olympian gold medalist, Mondo Duplantis. Accompanied by his girlfriend, the model and influencer Desiré Inglander, Duplantis made his fashion week debut with his attendance at Bottega Veneta's spring/summer 2025 show.

For the occasion, Duplantis opted for a navy cashmere cardigan, double-knee leather trousers and Haddock loafers, all of which came from Bottega’s pre-fall '24 collection. The athlete kept it simple but elevated with his monochromatic look, which co-ordinated with his ‘Small Bird Pouf’ chair from the Noah’s Ark of beanbags which Mattieu Blazy, creative director of Bottega, had in place of the usual front row of benches.

When asked about the event, Duplantis declared it “an honour to be with Bottega Veneta,” for his first-ever show. “It’s super sick,” he said, en route to the venue, adding “it’s going to be lit!” Following the runway, Duplantis – still perched on his beanbag chair – praised his first fashion show, coining it “top-notch.”
