Worn by dads in Ohio and models in Denmark, New Balance’s new 740 design stepped into the spotlight at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS25
It’s no secret that the Nordics are utterly smitten with their trainers, and few get our pulses racing quite like a pair of New Balances. So, it’s little wonder the American brand chose Copenhagen to debut its latest style, the 740.
Amidst the whirlwind of Fashion Week, New Balance gathered its nearest and dearest for an intimate dinner at Etage Projects, showcasing a shoe that perfectly captures the Scandinavian aesthetic. The meal was served with a palette of greens inspired by the trainers themselves and lit by a backdrop of cauliflower candles, adding an offbeat touch. Guests were then treated to a lively discussion led by stylist Hannah MW and two of New Balance’s designers, delving into the brand’s fresh push for gender-neutral footwear—a key feature of this new release. Talk about planting the seed for change.
