The hotly-anticipated list of 20 semifinalists for the LVMH Prize has just been unveiled and it features three Scandinavian labels: Mfpen, Nicklas Skovgaard and All-In

It’s that time of year again – the LVMH Prize has just announced its cohort of semifinalists for fashion’s most coveted award, which has propelled some of today’s most visionary designers, including Simon Porte Jacquemus, Nensi Dojaka, and Grace Wales Bonner, as well as our homegrown talent, Swedish Ellen Hodakova, who was crowned winner last year.

Following Hodakova’s footsteps, the class of 2025’s 20 semifinalists include three Scandi labels: Danes Nicklas Skovgaard and Mfpen, alongside All-In, founded by Norwegian Bror August and LA-based Benjamin Barron. All three will be vying for the highly desirable top prize, boasting a €400,000 endowment paired with an invaluable, tailored one-year mentorship by the LVMH team. In addition to the Grand Prize, the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and Savoir-Faire Prize are up for grabs again, each featuring a €200,000 endowment and a one-year mentorship.

The 20 semifinalists will showcase their collections to a jury of industry professionals in Paris on March 5th and 6th. From March 5th to 9th, the public will also have the opportunity to explore the designers’ collections and vote for their eight favourite candidates on lvmhprize.com. With Mfpen’s – helmed by Sigurd Bank – sustainability-forward, minimalist and suave tailoring, Nicklas Skovgaard’s innovative, whimsical and captivating garments, and All-In's avant-garde, edgy pieces, it wouldn’t be a surprise if all three secure a spot in the finals.
