Bringing what Westman Atelier (Swedish celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman's own beauty brand) refers to as "baby girl glam" to the Golden Globes, makeup muse Nicole Kidman was rendered petal pink on the red carpet for the occasion
Just as major Maisons rely on their muses, some makeup artists forge near-telepathic alliances with Hollywood’s most notable names. Swedish-born Gucci Westman of Westman Atelier has long been Nicole Kidman’s partner in crime on the red carpet, crafting everything from demure daytime looks to full-on glamour. Their latest collaboration? A subtle wink to Kidman’s role in Halina Reijn’s new erotic thriller, Babygirl, delivered via a rose-tinted look for the Golden Globes.

Kidman (nominated for her performance and dressed in a backless, crystal-mesh Balenciaga gown) wanted to channel the film’s alluring edge without veering into pastiche. “Peachy rose goddess dipped in radiance,” is how Westman describes the mood. “Glamorous, with undercurrents of the ’70s, but not too literal. Nicole has such exquisite skin and beautiful blue eyes — I wanted to play off that.”
To achieve this luminous effect, Westman introduced her newly minted Petal collection, with the brand’s most popular pantone ‘petal pink’ rendered in three new formats. She began with layers of Skin Activator Serum and Suprême C Serum, followed by a tiny dab of Vital Skincare Concealer around Kidman’s eyes and nose brightened her complexion, before a dusting of Vital Pressed Skincare Powder in Translucent helped everything stay put.
For added impact, Westman reached for a bronze-gold Dior palette and smudged in a terracotta kohl liner to enhance Kidman’s famous baby blues. Cheeks got a flush of Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks in Petal and Minette, while a light swirl of Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Pêche offered subtle sculpting. Lips were balanced with Lip Suede Matte Lipstick in Minx, defined by a rosy neutral liner, then slicked with Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm in Petal for that final hint of sheen. A quick sweep of Lit Up Highlight in Petal on the high points of Kidman’s face ensured she caught the paparazzi flash in every photograph.
Moments before stepping onto the red carpet, Kidman’s team shared an Instagram post that summed it up: “Our babygirl is glowing for the Globes.”
