Weighing an impressive 1,500 kilos, Chanel's Christmas tree at Stockholm’s NK department store is a feast for the eyes – oversized CC logo topper inclusive
Every year, visitors flocking to storied Stockholm department store NK are met by an array of festive decorations. But between blown-up baubles and the renowned Christmas-themed window displays, few holiday displays is as much of a festive fest for the eyes as NK's Christmas tree in Ljusgården.
This year, the tree-mendous creation was curated in collaboration with Chanel. Weighing in at 1,500 kilos, it took NK’s partner for visual displays, FrameIn, a team of 18 people (including decorators, assemblers, climbing technicians, and electricians) 16 hours to assemble and decorate the tree. No small feat, considering that it features three kilometres of garland and five kilometers of twinkling fairy lights. Not to forget the oversized Chanel No5 baubles and the French Maison's scaled up logo perched at the top of the tree.

Kristel Levander, Acting Store Manager at NK Stockholm, adds that "It’s exciting to surprise our visitors with a tree that is truly exceptional, adding a touch of magic to their shopping experience."
So whether you're planning to pass by the Stockholm Christmas staple or not, one fact is for certain: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
