Posing poolside at twilight in Los Angeles, Zimmermann introduces its latest muse, Norwegian model Kristine Lindseth, as the face of the brand's Resort '25 campaign
Upon unveiling her namesake brand’s Resort ‘25 collection, dubbed ‘Crush’, Zimmermann creative director Nicky Zimmermann cited one key inspiration: 1980s coming-of-age Hollywood movies – specifically flicks like St Elmo’s Fire, The Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink. These films, along with the Brat Pack actors of the era, such as Winona Ryder, Lisa Bonet and Molly Ringwald, heavily influenced Zimmermann. Then a student in a design school in Sydney, she and her pals would often hit vintage stores on the hunt for eclectic looks that emulated their idols’ style. “For this Resort season we embraced the style and feel-good mood of these movies and tried to bring it together in a fresh, fun and modern way,” Zimmermann says.

It’s only fitting, then, that for the collection’s campaign, the Australian brand ventured to Los Angeles, where the Resort ‘25 offering was shot against a moody sundown in the Hollywood Hills. To front the campaign, Zimmermann chose Norwegian stunner Kristine Lindseth, whose retro look – complete with Jane Birkin-esque blunt bangs and long, tousled locks – makes the model the perfect pick for the occasion. Lensed by Benny Horne and styled by Romy Frydman, Lindseth looks as if plucked from a frothy fantasy, posing poolside in a range of boho, flouncy and frilly frocks, sharp suiting, relaxed denim and leopard-print pieces.
And it seems Zimmermann isn’t the only label smitten with the fresh-faced Lindseth. Since Resort ‘22, the model has been a mainstay in Louis Vuitton runways and campaigns while also gracing the catwalks for the likes of Rabanne, Valentino and Celine. Recently, Lindseth added another notch to her belt with a Chloé debut at Chemena Kamali’s inaugural AW24 show for the brand, followed by nabbing coveted spots in the label’s campaigns and Kamali’s latest SS25 spectacle. We’ll be watching this space.
