Sports are often regarded as a great unifier – a part of culture that brings us all together, regardless of our many differences. There is perhaps no better example of this than the Olympics. Alternating between the summer and winter Games every two years, the Olympics have a way of turning us all into rabid sports fans – even those who are unfamiliar with the term “hat trick” and assume a “triple-double” is a fast food order. There is truly nothing like seeing a gymnast catapult themselves in the air, or a track star run so fast that that they could theoretically walk on water.

While the actual competitions are thrilling to watch, the scene on the streets is also a wondrous sight. After getting off to a rainy start, the 2024 Olympics are now a sea of selfie-taking, patriotic dressing, and high-energy crowds. Ahead, photographer Skyler Dahan shares snapshots from the scene in Paris.
