The Swedish brand brought an ocean-side village to the runway for its spring/summer ‘25 showing. Read on to discover all the looks

Last weekend, Our Legacy debuted their spring/summer ‘25 collection, a mixed-gender showing that evoked sun and sea. Models drifted behind a wall of glass, at times joining viewers on the outside, looking in. The set (reminiscent of Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter ‘99 and spring/summer ‘01 collections), provided not only a visual divide, but also an atmospheric one. The glare and reflections of the glass at times obscured the models, abstracting their looks as they shifted to and fro. With models enclosed within the glass, viewers were prompted to observe the runway as an environment or community space, rather than just a means of presentation.

The collection itself, composed of subdued palettes and intricate knits, alluded to coastal village life with wet hair and faux sunburn lines driving the message home. Jewellery was formed from a variety of common beach finds like seashells, bottle caps, and nautical knots. With models milling around the space and a dog even wandering through, Our Legacy presented not only a vision of fashion but also of life. About the collection, creative director Christopher Nying said that he was inspired by images of motors wrapped in fabrics and string, saying, “I think it portrays the close-knit community in a village like that, taking what you have for a utilitarian purpose, creating unexpected beauty.” Indeed, the looks were both functional and conceptual, expanding Our Legacy’s design language through storytelling.
