Meeting your future spouse at a wedding… it’s almost too good to be true, right? But in between the swiping, the set ups and the blind dates, there are those who do meet ‘the one’ in the most serendipitous of settings. Enter muralist and artist Holly Fowler who created a gown for the Met Gala as well as painted murals in some of Stockholm's most exclusive homes, and Erik Biörklund, founder of Yacht Week and Day 8, a travel and events company. Technically, the first time they locked eyes was at Burning Man in 2017 – but let’s not get wrapped up in the technicalities.
“It was not until the following year at a dear friend's wedding that it all started between us,” says Fowler. “I was maid of honour and he was a groomsman and they sat us next to each other at dinner.” And so it began.
