Step inside Statens Museum for Kunst as Vogue Scandinavia teams up with L’Oréal Paris to celebrate the launch of the cult-classified Panorama mascara
With an ocean of flickering candles cascading down the white stone stairs and an Oscars-worthy camera crane capturing the fluttering lashes of influential guests: last night’s party in Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK, The National Gallery of Denmark) was not to be missed.
Kickstarting Copenhagen Fashion Week with a black tie dress code – prompting some of our favourite tastemakers to bring out their best frocks – industry insiders gathered to celebrate the launch of L’Oréal Paris Panorama mascara, promising a formula worth its weight in volumising gold.
In honour of the Panorama, Vogue Scandinavia ventured to discover some of the black carpet guests’ most precious mascara memoriest. “I remember how proud I was of my first mascara,” said former Vogue Scandinavia cover star Marianne Theodorsen, who was mingling with the likes of Finnish Sofia Ruutu, fellow Norwegians (and cover stars) Janka Polliani and Nina Sandbech. “Although I did end up looking like a panda at the end of the day”, she laughs. It is a sentiment shared by fellow partygoer Mathilde Gøhler agrees: "During your teenage years, when you experience makeup for the first time, you explore it. You learn by doing."

Martina Bonnier, Vogue Scandinavia’s editor in chief, was quick to share her best mascara tip in the evening’s opening speech: “Don’t limit yourself to just one favourite”. Bonnier explained how, just like with perfume, you should build a wardrobe of formulas that work for you – from really natural to big and bold.
The dinner table, bound in black bows and dressed with (appropriately) golden candelabras and cutlery, set the stage for a flavourful vegetarian meal. The evening wrapped with an espresso martini and chocolate-covered profiteroles to the ethereal tunes of buzzy breakout artist Coco O.
Below, have an exclusive peek inside the beauty event of the season and stock up on Vogue Scandinavia’s favourite gold-star voluminising formula, L'Oréal Paris Panorama Mascara, all wrapped in glossy gold packaging.
