Yesterday afternoon, Vogue Scandinavia and buzzy Norwegian brand Pearl Octopuss.y welcomed an intimate group to lunch at Ett Hem to celebrate their new collaboration: a limited edition pair of earrings received by subscribers to the magazine
Yesterday afternoon, a mere hour after our latest cover was revealed, Vogue Scandinavia and Pearl Octopuss.y welcomed a well-curated group of guests for an intimate lunch at beloved Stockholm hotel Ett Hem (as luck would have it, directly across the street from our HQ). Not only was the event a celebration of our December/January issue, which features Princess Sofia of Sweden, it was also to fete a collaboration between the magazine and the buzzy Norwegian brand; those who subscribe to a one-year premium subscription of the magazine receive a limited edition pair of Pearl Octopuss.y earrings.
“Vogue Scandinavia is fashion, it’s tradition, it’s culture,” says Pearl Octopuss.y founder and designer Cathrine Børte, who looked deliciously on-brand in a relaxed black outfit and heaps of her own chunky statement jewellery. “That’s very Peal Octopuss.y. Doing this together with this empire that is Vogue – it’s perfect.”
The lunch kicked off with a welcome speech from Vogue Scandinavia editor-in-chief Martina Bonnier, after which guests chatted over midday wine and a rustic dish of monk fish and white beans. Actor Hedda Steirnstedt – who just so happened to be celebrating her birthday – caught up with fashion entrepreneur Nathalie Schuterman and artist Clara Hallencreutz (who’s been known to wear Pearl Octopuss.y to an event or two). At the opposite table, Efva Attling held court, chatting with actors Alva Bratt and a very pregnant Alba August. Guests tried on their new Pearl Octopuss.y earrings – a signature spiral design encrusted with crystals and finished with a single pearl, natch.
As the sun began to set and coffee (as well as an outrageously good sticky toffee) was served, guests flipped through the latest issue and downed their last sips of wine, willing the afternoon not to end. “This lunch was so nice,” declares Børte. “The wine… the food… everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
