Going solo for the international visit, Queen Mary of Denmark turned to a designer from her home country while in Brazil

In what is a rare solo trip, Queen Mary of Denmark has travelled to Brazil for a four-day trip. Splitting her time between Brasilia and Manaus (a city considered to be one of the most dangerous on earth), the royal proved herself to be every bit the regal Scandinavian representative as she met with President Lula de Silva. For the trip, she turned to a designer from her home nation, bringing all things Danish to the South American country.

On the evening of her first official day, the Queen attended an official reception by the governor of the State Amazonas, Wilson Lima, at the Theatro Amazonas in Manaus. For the occasion, the royal wore a fuchsia pink wrap blouse, courtesy of Danish designer Jesper Høvring. She paired the striking top with a patterned emerald green maxi skirt, continuing the jewel tone theme with a canary yellow Prada clutch.

Queen Mary's Brazilian excursion aims to focus on strengthening ‘cooperation and deepening of the Danish-Brazilian relationship,' according to a statement from the court's official Instagram. 'Areas such as sustainability, biodiversity and climate are central common priorities for Brazil and Denmark.’
