Nordic silver screen queens Renate Reinsve, Alicia Vikander and Vic Carmen Sonne turned heads at last weekend's European Film Awards and British Independent Film Awards clad head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton. Below, all you need to know about the stars' custom looks

Last weekend was a standout one for cinema as the 2024 European Film Awards took over Lucerne, Switzerland, while London played host to the 2024 British Independent Film Awards. Naturally, a heaping of star power descended upon these cities for the occasion, satiating our sartorial hunger with their dazzling red carpet looks.

Among the A-listers was also our very own homegrown talent. Swedish actor and Vogue Scandinavia alum Alicia Vikander graced the BIFAs, while Danish star Vic Carmen Sonne and Norwegian sensation Renate Reinsve – both previously featured in this magazine – flew the flag for the Nordics in Lucerne. What else unites these women beyond their roots and dramatic prowess? Each star, as a coveted Louis Vuitton ambassador, stunned in striking, head-to-toe ensembles courtesy of the French heritage brand.

Over in the British capital, Vikander lit up the red carpet with a custom sequin-strewn, cascading pea green frock adorned with ruffles and a sultry thigh-high slit. She paired the dress with silver leather sandals, bolstering the sparkle with diamond-encrusted ‘Radiant’ earrings and a white gold ‘Star Du Nord’ ring from the Louis Vuitton High Jewellery collection. True to form, the star opted for soft, fresh-faced glam, her undone brunette bob balancing out the rest of the exquisite look.

Reinsve also embraced a daring vein with her custom Louis Vuitton get-up, boasting a black-and-white cut-out dress crafted from tulle and delicate lace, complete with ruffles and an asymmetrical hemline for added drama. She finished off her look with black anthracite satin ‘Lana’ slingbacks, barely-there makeup and slicked-back hair, letting the frock take centre stage.

Elsewhere, Carmen Sonne was a vision in crisp white, her custom ‘fit for the EFAs comprising a second-skin bodysuit teamed with billowing, sheer peplum-style trousers embellished with intricate embroidery. On her feet were sleek white satin pumps, while the ‘Le Damier de Louis Vuitton’ white gold rings and ‘Elan Vital’ earrings brought a dash of lustre. The actor’s tousled locks and understated glam perfectly played into the ethereal vibe.
