The Swedish royal family brought out their best summer frocks when celebrating Crown Princess Victoria's birthday on Öland
July 14th was cause for celebration across Sweden as Crown Princess Victoria turned 47. The celebrations began in the afternoon as the Crown Princess and the Royal Family gathered in front of Solliden Palace on Öland – an island just off the coast of Sweden. In front of a large crowd of visitors, HM The King Carl XVI Gustaf gave four cheers for the Crown Princess.
For the occasion, the Swedish Crown Princess decided to make an unconventional wardrobe choice, tapping London- and Mumbai-based Indian brand Saloni for her floral frock instead of her usual rotation of local designers.
While the Crown Princess usually favours a fashion rewear, this colourful floral dress is a new arrival to her closet. Printed with florals and vine blooming on a cream background, offset by turquoise details and a patch-work skirt, the dress – cinched at the waist with a matching cord belt – was the perfect choice for the sun-blessed celebration on Soliden.

As for accessorising, HRH opted for old favourites: a pair of Double Rockstud wedge sandals in uvory by Valentino, Gothenburg-based brand LWL Jewellery's Petite Teardrop Earrings (previously worn by Princess Sofia) and her horseshoe necklace from Luc of Sweden.
All eyes may have been on Crown Princess Victoria, but the rest of the royal family blossomed in their efforts too. Princess Estelle, Crown Princess Victoria's daughter, has become more of a sartorial fixture in the royal fashion pantheon as of late. For the occasion of the future Queen's 47th birthday, Princess Estelle paired a knee-length bespoke dress in a dainty floral print by Norwegian brand ByTiMo with neutral ballet flats and a sweet bow in her half-up-half-down hair 'do.
Prince Carl Philip's wife, Princess Sofia also wore an upcoming design by the Norwegian brand: a long-sleeved apricot coloured shirt dress with a billowing skirt featuring peach coloured florals and a sky blue motif. The Princess paired her new ByTimo frock with linen block sandals by Castañer and a pair of bohemian earrings by Swedish jewellery brand Kajun Stockholm.
Finally, Princess Madeleine opted to rewear a dress by Agua by Agua Bendita. The dress by the Columbian brand featured shirred spaghetti sleeves and a delicate leafy design, dotted by the occasional rosy flower. Her daughters, Princess Leonore and Princess Adrienne of Sweden, both wore ruffled dresses with a blue floral designs from Love Shack Fancy.
